Avocado
Avocados are full of healthy fats and treasure a host of benefits for our body: control blood pressure (so they are good for the heart), keep cholesterol at bay, contain anti-inflammatory properties, regulate blood sugar levels, increase the absorption of nutrients, and take care of the skin among other properties according to the American Institute for Cancer Research. Avocado contains magnesium and potassium, minerals that favor the proper functioning of the nervous and muscular system and are of great importance for the immune system, and for the health of the small intestine and to prevent fluid retention. Avocado has vitamins A, C, D, K and B groups. This makes it a good antioxidant due to its content in vitamins C and E, which are also essential for the neurological levels of the organism and for cardiovascular health. Thanks to its vitamin D content, it is beneficial for bone health. Being rich in fiber, avocado helps the body to satiate the appetite, prevent constipation and regulate blood glucose levels. And if that were not enough, avocado is rich in oleic acid, a type of fatty acid that helps control cholesterol levels. It also contains folic acid, highly recommended to avoid malformations during pregnancy.
